Expansion in AP 5.3 is completed

Completed at the beginning of February 2026, the expansion integrated the 110 AP 5.3 teams — managed by SPDM — with group training in twelve meetings, held in two locations.

At the beginning of February 2026, MediRec completed the expansion in Programmatic Area 5.3, managed by the social organization SPDM, integrating the 110 teams in the area. Started in December 2025, the training continued over the following months.

Groups by usage profile

The groups were organized according to the system usage profile, in three compositions, with a broader range of professionals: RT doctors, managers and the Internal Regulation Center (NIR) in one group; administrative teams and community health agents in another; and RT nursing and dental teams in a third.

Twelve meetings, two locations

The training was carried out in twelve meetings, in two locations: the Waldemar Berardinelli Family Clinic and the Estácio de Sá University campus, in Santa Cruz.

As in other areas, the meetings were practical: each participant used MediRec in real time while the team demonstrated the flows. The sessions also served to resolve, on the spot, access and login issues, and to listen to the teams — whose observations continue to feed the continuous improvement of the system.

This format was also based on a practice already common on the network: multiplication. Professionals trained in the meetings become responsible for propagating what they learned within their team and their unit — informally, on a daily basis, and in a structured way in regular meeting spaces, such as the weekly team meeting and the monthly general meeting.

A format that reaches the entire unit

Area after area, the group training format expanded the group of professionals reached. In AP 5.3, in addition to clinical and management profiles, training reached the administrative, dentistry and internal regulation teams — bringing MediRec closer to those who make the unit work.

Human decision and protected data

MediRec’s artificial intelligence suggests priorities and checks criteria and documents, but qualification remains the professional’s responsibility — the clinical decision remains human. Because it deals with health data, MediRec operates as a data processor under network governance: it has no patient-facing interface, processes data only within the scope of the project and ensures its return or deletion within 30 days after the contract ends.
