Expansion in AP 5.2 is completed

Completed in December 2025, the expansion integrated the 169 AP 5.2 teams — managed by Viva Rio — with group training concentrated in a single hub, in ten meetings.

In December 2025, MediRec completed the expansion in Programmatic Area 5.2, managed by the social organization Viva Rio, integrating the 169 teams in the area.

Groups by usage profile

Organized by CAP according to the system usage profile, the groups had two compositions: one bringing together managers, nursing RTs and community health agents; another, regulators, technical leads (RT) and doctors — with the nursing RT also present, in part, alongside the other RTs. In total, there were four groups of each composition.

Ten meetings, a single center

The training was carried out in ten meetings, all at the Arthur Zanetti Family Clinic. Concentrating training in a single hub — as in AP 5.1 — gave consistency to the process and allowed it to reach the 169 teams in the area in an organized way.

As in other areas, the meetings were practical: each participant used MediRec in real time while the team demonstrated the flows. The sessions also served to resolve, on the spot, access and login issues, and to listen to the teams — whose observations continue to feed the continuous improvement of the system.

This format was also based on a practice already common on the network: multiplication. Professionals trained in the meetings become responsible for propagating what they learned within their team and their unit — informally, on a daily basis, and in a structured way in regular meeting spaces, such as the weekly team meeting and the monthly general meeting.

From the first step to the consolidated method

AP 5.2 is managed by Viva Rio, the same social organization as AP 3.1 — the first expanded area, covered unit by unit. Between one and the other, the training method matured: from the service-to-service route to a group format, concentrated and organized by usage profile. In the same period, Viva Rio also led the expansion of AP 2.2, with a different design — distributed across four points in the territory, instead of a single hub.

Human decision and protected data

MediRec’s artificial intelligence suggests priorities and checks criteria and documents, but qualification remains the professional’s responsibility — the clinical decision remains human. Because it deals with health data, MediRec operates as a data processor under network governance: it has no patient-facing interface, processes data only within the scope of the project and ensures its return or deletion within 30 days after the contract ends.
