MediRec begins expansion at AP 2.2

Managed by Viva Rio, AP 2.2 received group training distributed across four points in the area — at the same time that Viva Rio was also conducting the expansion of AP 5.2.

In December 2025, MediRec began its expansion in Programmatic Area 2.2, managed by the social organization Viva Rio. Conducted in the second half of the month, the expansion would reach the 55 teams in the area.

The training followed the already consolidated group format, this time distributed across different parts of the area. The groups were organized by system use profile: on the one hand, nursing RT, managers and community health agents; on the other, RT doctors and regulators.

Human decision and protected data

MediRec’s artificial intelligence suggests priorities and checks criteria and documents, but qualification remains the professional’s responsibility — the clinical decision remains human. Because it deals with health data, MediRec operates as a data processor under network governance: it has no patient-facing interface, processes data only within the scope of the project and ensures its return or deletion within 30 days after the contract ends.
