TLDR;

When External Systems Fail 🧯

Laboratory Exams 🧪 Users have flagged inconsistencies in some of the presented records 🚨. Upon reviewing the integration, we identified that something had changed on the Biomega and Científica Lab websites, which led to inconsistencies in the data we store in MediRec 🔍. This weekend, we adjusted the synchronization code and relaunched a full sync 🔄. To make everything clearer, we are only making available records verified after the full sync ✅. The entire database will be reviewed by July 23rd 📅

Gemini ⚙️ Last week, Google had problems with Gemini, which failed to read documents — submitted requests and exams were not processed 📄❌. This in itself is a problem. We also noticed another issue: the way MediRec was built causes the entire system to slow down when Gemini experiences this type of failure 🐢. To prevent this from happening again, we will work on two fronts 🛠️: (1) allowing you to send documents even when Gemini is down — they will be stored in MediRec until Gemini is back online and processed automatically 📥; and (2) redoing part of MediRec's architecture so that, in case of a new Gemini failure, the system does not slow down as it did ✅
